Are you considering a career as a hypnotherapist, or would you like to learn hypnosis to complement your current profession? Then the OMNI Hypnosis (Basic) training is an excellent starting point. We are affiliated with the OMNI Hypnosis Training Center®, a leading international training institute with worldwide representation. In the first part (basic) training you will learn to bring persons into hypnosis with scientifically based methods, focusing on two specific hypnosis states: the somnambulism state and the Esdaile state. You will learn the importance of changes from the subconscious mind for lasting results and how to effectively bring about behavioral change in your clients using direct suggestion techniques. Upon completion, you will be competent in treating behavioral addictions, such as smoking cessation, modification of eating habits, improving athletic and learning performance, stress management and promoting better sleep patterns. In the second part, the advanced part, you will learn how to use hypnosis analysis techniques to identify and solve the cause of numerous mental and physical problems.

For whom

This course is suitable for both beginning and advanced hypnotherapists, and professionals such as coaches, therapists and other professionals who wish to broaden their expertise. The curriculum is at the college level and requires no prior knowledge of hypnosis.

The OMNI Hypnosis Training Center® actively contributes to scientific research, using our induction methods based on the work of Dave Elman and Gerald Kein scientificallyhave been validated in collaboration with the University of Zurich.

For healthcare professionals, we also offer specialized medical hypnosis training.

You will learn hypnosis by working directly in practice. Our training emphasizes not only the “what” and “how,” but also the “why,” with theoretical underpinnings and scientific insights.

Upon completion, you will gain access to an exclusive specialist group, where you will find additional resources, information, and scientific research. Here you can ask questions and exchange experiences with fellow students.

Recognized certificate

After training, you will receive a certificate recognized by various professional associations. In combination with the OMNI hypnotherapy course (advanced), you can start as an OMNI hypnotherapist.

Study Load

The training consists of 72 classroom hours and 135 hours of self-study (120 hours of online training for post-training review) with a total of 227 hours (8 ECTs).

Can I work with it right away?

The training has a practical slant. After practice, you can start using it right away. We explain during the training what challenges you can start with and how to gradually build it up. For those who are considering the course as an adjunct to their current profession, or have other personal considerations, the applicability of the course depends on specific factors such as prior education and professional goals. Can I use OMNI hypnosis (basic) in combination with OMNI hypnotherapy (advanced) to work as a hypnotherapist?

You can register with the professional association CATcollective and get started as a hypnotherapist (non-reimbursable).

Can I get started as a reimbursable hypnotherapist?

To work as a reimbursable hypnotherapist, you need 2-3 years of professional training. This is a completely different pathway than the one we offer with our training programs. We encourage you to contact the professional association. In particular, the Cat Collective looks at your previous work experience and resume after which you can chart a development path to reimbursable hypnotherapist. We frequently find that someone already has enough education and experience to be immediately registered as a reimbursable hypnotherapist (you can think of a background as a psychologist, orthopedist or the like). Sometimes we are asked to complete our vocational training.
